Busher

Busher is a free, non-profit iOS app for the urban buses of Heraklion. It started out of frustration with my daily commute in the city I live in, after the official app stopped working most of the time, and it later turned into a much bigger project.

It uses the latest iOS 26–27 elements — Liquid Glass, Dynamic Island, Live Activities and widgets — to create a visually appealing experience that showcases the city's monuments and aesthetic.

It features live arrival predictions, as well as up-to-date timetables for all stops and lines.

Optionally using your location, it shows the nearest stop and the next departure times, so you know how soon you need to leave the house to catch your bus and not be late for school, university, work or a coffee you're supposed to be on time for.

The app is not affiliated in any way with the bus operator; it uses a public API to import the data and generate its own arrival predictions.

Busher is now available.
